Foot Problems!

For the second time in a month, I have rolled my right ankle. The bruising on this one is blog worthy. Try to focus on the bruise, not my funny looking feet.I wish I had taken this picture a day earlier. It would be a darker bruise. The dark lines in the bruise were caused from my compression wrap. I think I wrapped it too tight once. My entire foot is swollen too. This last photo is of my toes. On Wednesday morning I woke up and tried to pop my toes. I could not get my toes to pop but it hurt like crap. Then after work, I took off my socks and noticed that my toes were bruised. The bruising on my toes has spread too!
Cool HUH?

Conversations

I figure that a funny blog is in order to inaugurate our new computer.

This is mostly for Jodi and Scott, they will fully appreciate this more than most people will. This also will make them a little more excited for most of my family to be spending Christmas with them. The following are two very funny conversations.

The first is from thanksgiving. We were playing a rousing round of "the dice game" and the following conversation followed between my older brother John, my Dad, and a short statement by myself.

-John pulling on my dad's unruly arm hair says "I shudder to see your back".

-My dad says something that seems at first to be completely unrelated "My back is like a duck"

-I say "You have feathers back there?"

-My dad says "Noo" (in a way that only my dad can say) "Waterproof hair!"

My mother was not paying attention to this short exchange, but I wish she was, I would love to have seen the look on her face as her husband tried to put a productive twist on his unsightly back hair.

Conversation number two was between Kelly and my subconscious. I had not been sleeping well a week ago. So on Monday when we were grocery shopping, I picked up some over the counter sleeping pills. After spending about an hour with some friends for a short family home evening, I had to go to bed. I took a pill and quickly fell asleep, a very deep sleep. I do not have any memory of this exchange.

-Kelly comes home for our friends about an hour after I had fallen asleep, knowing that I am a light sleeper, as she entered the room she said "I'm home".

-With the lights still off and me in deep sleep I responded "Who?"

-Kelly again...."It's me"

-"Who the hell are you?"

-"It's Kelly"

-"Who the hell are you?"

-"Your wife......are you asleep?"

-"Do I sound asleep? You woke me up!"

This was all it took for my pregnant and emotionally unstable with to feel bad for waking me up. She then went straight down stairs and slept on the couch. I woke up with my alarm very surprised to not find my wife by my side. I thought that she must have fallen asleep with the TV on. I went downstairs, woke up Kelly and sent her on up to sleep in the bed. When I finished breakfast and made my lunch, I went upstairs to kiss Kelly goodbye only to find that she was crying because she thought I was still mad at her. I was so confused..........and this time I really didn't do anything! She quickly fell back asleep once I explained that I was talking in my sleep. Why else would I be ok to just sit in the dark if someone besides my wife was standing in our bedroom? It just doesn't make alot of sense. I have had multiple good laughs from this story and hope that you will have one too. Now if only Kelly can laugh it off, that might take some more time.
